As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and controlling access points, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence throughout the facility. You will use your customer service skills to communicate clearly with team members and visitors, while leveraging technology such as alarm panels and badge systems. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and/or contractors with access control procedures in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access within the manufacturing and industrial location.
• Verify credentials and conduct identification checks for individuals entering restricted areas as required.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the site.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to observe for irregularities and report security-related concerns.
• Document and report all access control activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and the client policies.
• Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, including guiding individuals during evacuations or lockdowns.
• Collaborate with site personnel to address security-related issues and support ongoing operations in the manufacturing and industrial environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Familiarity with the use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
