As a Security Officer - Logistics Badge Desk in Santa Fe Springs, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Assist with access control procedures at the logistics and distribution location, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and/or contractors.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Provide customer service by addressing inquiries and offering directions to personnel and visitors as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and perimeter to observe for irregularities and security-related concerns.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and/or breaches according to Allied Universal and site-specific policies.
• Support emergency response activities as required, including following evacuation and lockdown procedures when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
