As a Security Officer - Logistics Access Monitor in Plainfield, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.
As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling designated areas within a logistics and distribution location. Your presence and attention to detail will help to deter security-related incidents while fostering a welcoming environment for everyone on site. You will perform routine patrols, maintain visibility, and offer outstanding customer service, always ready to assist with any concerns. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Control and monitor access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles.
• Assist with security-related procedures in alignment with location-specific policies and protocols.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm and problem-solving manner, following established guidelines.
• Help to deter unauthorized access, theft, or property damage through regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter.
• Provide customer service by addressing questions and concerns from employees, visitors, and drivers in a professional manner.
• Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
• Support emergency response activities, including guiding individuals during building evacuations or lockdowns as directed.
• Collaborate with logistics and distribution staff to help maintain a secure environment throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
