As a Security Officer - Logistics Access Control Full-Time in Elmsford, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.
As an Access Control Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere at a major logistics and distribution location. Your responsibilities include monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols to promote a secure environment for employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access to the premises, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit to help to deter unauthorized access.
• Provide customer service by courteously assisting visitors, contractors, and employees with site-specific procedures and directions.
• Carry out security-related procedures in accordance with site policies, including the use of access control systems and visitor management protocols.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activities and to identify potential security-related concerns.
• Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities in a timely and accurate manner as required by Allied Universal and client site protocols.
• Collaborate with logistics staff to support the smooth flow of operations while maintaining security-related procedures.
• Participate in emergency response activities as appropriate, following site-specific guidelines and instructions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
