What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies for the healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, taking appropriate actions based on the situation.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Assist staff, patients, and visitors with directions and general information as needed, maintaining a professional presence at all times.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other sensitive areas of the location to help to deter unauthorized access.
• Document incidents and observations according to Allied Universal and client requirements.
• Support emergency response activities and participate in drills and/or real events as directed by site leadership.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and communicate any security-related concerns or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work in hospital environments including areas such as the morgue.
• Must be able to safely restrain individuals as required in hospital settings.
• Must provide proof of required vaccinations for hospital environments.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
