As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol in Emporia, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations on healthcare premises in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and support a secure environment.
• Maintain detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and any interactions with visitors or staff as required by site procedures.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and support a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
• Work collaboratively with facility staff and Allied Universal management to address site-specific needs and contribute to an overall sense of security-related presence in the healthcare location.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Vaccinations as required by hospital policy must be completed.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
