As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and assisting visitors and staff. Your role involves conducting routine patrols of assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, and providing outstanding customer service. You will utilize technology such as computers or tablets to support access control procedures. Mon 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
Tue 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Monitor and control access to the healthcare facility, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering the location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, irregularities, or unusual circumstances according to site procedures.
• Assist visitors, patients, and staff with directions and information while maintaining a professional presence.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff and local law enforcement as required to address security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
