As a Security Officer - Government Unarmed Patrol Team in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for all occupants. Your responsibilities include conducting regular patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and responding professionally to any security-related situations. You will also interact with the public, provide excellent customer service, and support access control measures. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or monitor for suspicious behavior.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter inappropriate activities within the government facility.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and/or residents as needed.
• Complete incident reports and daily activity logs as required by Allied Universal protocols and site requirements.
• Follow all instructions and guidance from Allied Universal supervisors and comply with all site-specific training requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
