As a Security Officer - - Government Transportation Site - Full Time in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.
As an unarmed patrol professional supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help maintain a secure environment for the public and staff. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you engage with individuals and provide excellent customer service. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
• Monitor for unusual activity and report observations according to company and site policies.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and emergency personnel as required.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted behavior and assist individuals as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Must be able to work at sites with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
