As a Security Officer - Government Patrol NYS License in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will actively monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, responding to situations as they arise, and delivering outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to assist staff and the public.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or suspicious behavior.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or potential hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Support access control procedures and monitor entry and exit points as required by site policies.
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with the public, staff, and/or law enforcement as situations demand.
• Document incidents and complete required reports in a timely and accurate manner.
• Follow all Allied Universal and client-specific guidelines and procedures during the execution of daily duties.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or a rustic guard shack may be present at this location; candidates should be comfortable working in such environments, although this is preferred and not required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
