As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. Wed 09:00 AM - 05:30 PM
Thur 08:30 AM - 05:00 PM
What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following protocols established for government locations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Document and report any observed irregularities, such as property damage, theft attempts, or unauthorized persons on-site.
• Work collaboratively with local staff and Allied Universal team members to maintain a secure environment for employees and visitors.
• Assist with access control by verifying identification and/or credentials as required by location policies.
• Remain alert to unusual or suspicious activities and communicate findings to the appropriate personnel or authorities as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
• A minimum of one year of security-related experience is required.
• Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
