As a Security Officer - Education Lobby in Kansas City, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at an education-focused location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, students, and staff. Your role involves monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and providing exceptional customer service to all who enter the facility. You will help to deter security-related incidents through your presence and communication skills while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Greet and assist visitors, students, and staff at the front desk, providing a professional and courteous presence.
• Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and visitor credentials as required by site-specific policies.
• Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies to help to deter unauthorized entry or activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Communicate and collaborate with school personnel and Allied Universal management to report security-related concerns and/or unusual activity.
• Maintain accurate logs and/or records of visitor check-ins, incidents, and other security-related activities as required by the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have 5 or more years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
