As a Security Officer - Distribution Site - Full Time in Maspeth, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.
As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned logistics and distribution locations, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, assisting with access control, and providing exceptional customer service and communication to all individuals on site. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the logistics and distribution location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for unusual activity or conditions during patrols and report findings according to established protocols.
• Assist with access control by observing entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required.
• Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and/or delivery personnel to provide assistance and information as needed.
• Document incidents, observations, and/or daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
