As a Security Officer - Chemical Facility Patrol in Mount Vernon, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will actively monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies at the chemical and petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, adhering to established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and monitor for unusual conditions.
• Assist with emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal and site management.
• Observe and report any security-related irregularities, hazards, or potential concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Control access to restricted areas and monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Communicate professionally with visitors, employees, and/or contractors as needed while on patrol.
• Document activities and incidents in detailed reports as required by Allied Universal and the site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
