As a Security Officer - Armed Transit Patrol Full-Time in Queens, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more.
As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned transportation locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a strong and visible presence. You will interact with the public, provide excellent customer service, and respond to various situations as needed. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the transportation location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential threats and provide assistance as needed.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with the public, staff, and law enforcement as required.
• Complete detailed reports and documentation of incidents, observations, and/or activities during the shift.
• Follow all Allied Universal protocols and client-specific instructions regarding the handling and use of firearms while on duty.

Minimum Requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Applicants must possess a valid law enforcement officer license.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
