Job Summary

The Security Officer plays a crucial role in maintaining public safety, enforcing laws, and protecting clients. This position requires a dedicated individual who is committed to serving the community with integrity and professionalism. Officers will engage in various security activities, respond to emergencies, and work collaboratively with other agencies to ensure a safe environment for all.

Experience

All applicants MUST possess a MINIMUM of 3 years law enforcement, Military (with handling firearms), corrections, or 8 years of security experience.

Duties

Enforce local, state, and federal laws while ensuring the safety of the community. Respond promptly to emergency calls and incidents, providing assistance as needed. Conduct investigations into crimes and incidents, gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses. Prepare detailed reports on incidents, arrests, and investigations. Patrol assigned areas to deter criminal activity and provide a visible presence. Engage with community members to build trust and foster positive relationships. Manage conflicts effectively using conflict management skills to de-escalate situations. Provide emergency medical care as necessary.

Qualifications

Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record. Completion of police academy training or equivalent law enforcement training is preferred. Ability to make quick decisions under pressure. Excellent conflict management skills to handle difficult situations effectively. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment as well as independently when necessary. Physical fitness required for the demands of the job, including the ability to pursue suspects if needed. A commitment to community service and upholding ethical standards in law enforcement.
This position reports to the Washington DC Office Lieutenant.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $37.50 - $40.00 per hour
