As a Security Officer - Armed Healthcare Patrols in Riverview, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more.
As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents, and you will respond promptly to situations as they arise. This armed post requires you to demonstrate professionalism, strong communication, and a commitment to exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate judgement and communication skills.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain awareness of activities within the location.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to site protocols and Allied Universal standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff and local authorities as needed to address security-related concerns and support emergency response efforts.
• Remain alert to potential hazards and security-related risks, providing a visible presence to help to deter disruptive behavior.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
