As a Security Officer - Access Control Specialist in Shippensburg, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location. In this role, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols throughout the facility. What You'll Do:

• Monitor and control access points to help restrict unauthorized entry into the manufacturing and industrial location.
• Verify identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises as part of access control procedures.
• Provide customer service by answering questions, giving directions, and assisting visitors and personnel with site-specific guidelines.
• Respond in a calm, problem-solving manner to incidents and critical situations that may occur on site.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the location and its perimeter to help to deter suspicious activities and/or unauthorized access.
• Follow site-specific security-related protocols and procedures as outlined by Allied Universal and the client location.
• Document observations, incidents, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal's reporting guidelines.
• Support emergency response activities when appropriate, following established procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
