As a Security Officer - Access Control Logistics in Plainfield, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.
As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will play a key role in monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for people and property. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible to promote a sense of security, and delivering exceptional customer service through professional communication. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Control access to the location by verifying credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises.
• Assist with the implementation of site-specific policies and procedures related to access control and security-related functions.
• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by addressing questions and directing them as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols within the facility and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.
• Monitor access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or activities.
• Support emergency response activities as required by site protocols.
• Maintain detailed and accurate logs and/or reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
