As a Security Officer - Access Control Banking in Newark, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entrances and exits and conducting routine patrols at a financial institution location. You will provide outstanding customer service, maintain a visible presence, and assist with maintaining a secure environment for clients and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Monitor and control access to the premises, verifying identification and credentials for all individuals entering or exiting the location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security-related concerns. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal policies and site-specific requirements.
• Collaborate with site staff and law enforcement as required to address security-related issues within the financial institution environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
