• Conduct post inspections, equipment inspections and review current pass along information to be aware of any new or changed assignments. \xe2\x80\xa2 Be able to identify and deny access of prohibited items. \xe2\x80\xa2 Remain knowledgeable of security orders, directives and procedures at all times. \xe2\x80\xa2 Admit or deny access as directed by management or Standard Operating Protocols.
• Stand post as a deterrent to any person seeking access to the controlled area by orally challenging them of their need to enter. \xe2\x80\xa2 Verify all person\xe2\x80\x99s credentials and badges, ensuring the name, company and expiration date are all present on the badge. Verify the picture matches the person seeking access. \xe2\x80\xa2 Take reasonable and prudent action to ensure the safety of employees, visiting personnel, and client assets.
• Observe and monitor the actions of persons considering entering the secured area. \xe2\x80\xa2 Control the security post area using prescribed actions to meet entry and denial criteria. \xe2\x80\xa2 Use security equipment as prescribed per post and implement all access control measures. \xe2\x80\xa2 Prepare legible daily logs, reports and incident reports as required with adequate detail and description.
• Report to management all unusual or suspicious activity. Pass this information along during shift changes and briefings. \xe2\x80\xa2 Seek supervisory input as a situation dictates. \xe2\x80\xa2 Make immediate emergency notifications as necessary when confronted with creditable information.
• Provide directions as necessary. \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide assistance to customers, employees and visitors in a courteous and professional manner. \xe2\x80\xa2 Perform vehicle inspections according to Standard Operating Protocols and post orders. \xe2\x80\xa2 Other related duties, as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications \xe2\x80\xa2 High School Diploma or GED \xe2\x80\xa2 Must be at least 21 years of age. \xe2\x80\xa2 U.S. citizen, U.S. National or lawful permanent resident \xe2\x80\xa2 Must have a valid Texas guard license.

• Must be able to perform all functions of the job with, or without, reasonable accommodations. \xe2\x80\xa2 Must be able to provide a local address and phone number. \xe2\x80\xa2 Must be willing to adhere to the Drug Free Workplace policy. \xe2\x80\xa2 Must demonstrate ability to learn security operation and procedures.
• Must be able to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. \xe2\x80\xa2 Must have good organizational skills. \xe2\x80\xa2 Must be neat, well-groomed and present a professional appearance. \xe2\x80\xa2 Able to pass a skills assessment process.
