Job Summary

The Security guard role will consist of protecting the property, employees and customers of Atlantis Management Group by monitoring the site for activities that can create a safety hazard, loss of revenue, property damage, or physical danger. Mitigating loss by deterring shoplifters and loiterers.

Duties and Responsibilities

Patrols and monitors an assigned area; reports suspicious activities to local authorities. Monitors surveillance cameras, inspects property, and monitors crowds. Contacts law enforcement or fire department in case of an emergency. After business hours, checks doors, windows, and gates to ensure the property is secure. Investigates reports of suspicious activity on the property. Reasonably detains persons suspected of criminal activity until law enforcement arrives. Escorts discharged staff, trespassers, and other unwelcome parties off the premises. Must comply with company Policies and Procedures. Must be able to diffuse and handle situations efficiently and effectively. Responds to calls for assistance. Writes reports on accidents and incidents, suspicious activities, safety and fire hazards and other security related situations timely and accurately. Always maintain a neat and professional appearance. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Excellent observational skills and attention to detail Authoritative verbal communication skills Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations Ability to learn the layout of the property and buildings High School Diploma or equivalent Must have a valid State Security Guard License Possess exceptional customer service skills Must have good verbal and written communication skills Must be capable of handling typical and crisis situations efficiently and effectively Prior contract security, military or law enforcement experience is a plus Able to work in a team-oriented environment Must be at least 18 years of age or older as required by applicable law or contractual requirements * Ability to start work immediately upon arrival
