As a Security Guard - Healthcare Access Screener in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more.
As a Screener in a healthcare location, you will play a vital role in helping to create a secure environment by monitoring access points and assisting with badge control. You will interact with staff, patients, and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while helping to deter security-related incidents. Your presence and attention to detail will support a welcoming atmosphere, reflecting Allied Universal's commitment to putting people first, acting with integrity, and delivering through teamwork. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
• Screen individuals entering the location to help to deter prohibited items and/or unauthorized access, following established protocols.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or breaches of protocol.
• Communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and/or patients regarding access procedures and security-related matters.
• Document observations, incidents, and/or irregularities according to site-specific requirements.
• Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to support a secure environment for all individuals present.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
