As a Security Guard - Government Unarmed Patrol in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.
As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for all occupants. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents, and you will play a key role in maintaining order while providing exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, assisting with emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
• Observe and report any suspicious activities or incidents according to site protocols and procedures.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and staff while performing security-related duties.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and unusual occurrences as required by site policies.
• Work in various environments and conditions as required by the specific location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
