As a Security Guard - Government Perimeter Patrol in QUEENS, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or suspicious behavior.
• Observe and report any unusual activity and/or potential threats in the location.
• Maintain a visible presence in assigned areas to help to deter unwanted incidents.
• Work closely with other Allied Universal team members and site personnel to address concerns and/or incidents as they arise.
• Complete required reports and logs in a timely and accurate manner.
• Support a secure environment by monitoring access points and verifying credentials as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
