What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or unusual occurrences to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control by monitoring points of entry and exit, verifying identification as required by site procedures.
• Communicate professionally with visitors, employees, and/or contractors to provide information and assistance as needed.
• Complete required logs and reports accurately and in a timely manner, documenting all activities and incidents.
• Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific policies, procedures, and post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Proof of high school diploma or GED is required as per client requirements.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
