As a Security Guard - Government Building Patrol Specialist in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations to help create a secure environment for all. Your presence and regular patrols will help to deter security-related incidents and provide reassurance to those on site. You will interact professionally with visitors and staff, delivering exceptional customer service while communicating important information as needed. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, adapting to the needs of a government location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points, reporting any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with emergency response activities as needed, following established protocols and directions from Allied Universal and client representatives.
• Maintain detailed logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations while on patrol.
• Interact professionally with visitors, employees, and/or members of the public, providing assistance and information as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Candidates should be able to work at locations with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks; this is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
