As a Security Guard - Education Facility Unarmed Patrol in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more.
As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in maintaining a secure environment within an educational setting. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service through clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the educational facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a secure environment.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with students, staff, and visitors while providing assistance as needed.
• Document observations, incidents, and/or irregularities according to site and Allied Universal procedures.
• Collaborate with local authorities and emergency personnel when required for incident resolution.
• Remain alert to surroundings and report any unusual or suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A valid state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
