As a Security Guard - Education Campus Unarmed Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence across an educational location. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, maintaining visibility, and delivering outstanding customer service and communication to all students, staff, and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies at the education location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the campus and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify any unusual conditions.
• Observe and report any security-related concerns or incidents encountered during patrols or while stationed at assigned posts.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying identification, and addressing unauthorized persons as needed.
• Support emergency response activities, including guiding occupants during drills or actual emergencies and coordinating with campus officials and Allied Universal management.
• Communicate professionally with students, faculty, staff, and visitors to address questions or provide directions as necessary.
• Complete required logs and incident reports accurately and promptly, documenting any security-related events or observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
