JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
The objective of the Secondary Administrative Assistant position is to assist the Secondary Headmaster, Director of Athletics, Dean of Students, and Academic Counselor. This position must agree with and support the Faculty/Board Member's Covenant, Statement of Marriage and Sexuality and agree with/help fulfill CHA's Mission Statement.
Essential Functions (Responsibilities and Tasks)
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
Answer phone for Secondary office. Take messages for the Dean of Students, Academic Counselor, and teachers.
Greet students, parents, and visitors as they enter the secondary office.
Write admission slips for tardy students throughout the day.
Assign lockers to all Secondary students prior to the beginning of the school year.
Scheduling of parent-teacher conferences for conference day.
Organizing substitute coverage.
Coordinating with the Director of Business and Elementary Admin. Assistant for the Substitute Orientation meeting.
Call students out of class for the Dean of Students and Academic Counselor.
Make daily announcements on the intercom system.
Beginning of year setup and daily management of student cell phone collection/distribution.
Manage distribution/collection of student access cards at the beginning/end of the year.
Create new student access cards for new students and as replacements throughout the year.
Track distribution/collection of temporary student access cards daily.
Management of Lost-and-Found.
Schedule buses and drivers for all athletic events and field trips.
Attends staff meetings, committee meetings and all other meetings that are required.
Attends Professional Development training and devotions throughout the year.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional school environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, 10-month salary position, payable on a 12-month pay schedule. Days and hours are M - F from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Any summer hours required will be paid on an hourly basis.
Performance Standards
Completing tasks well and in a timely manner (before or at due date), while representing Christian Heritage Academy in a way that is glorifying to Christ.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The school is currently a multi-level facility, which requires this position to navigate flights of stairs regularly to meet responsibilities as it relates to the school.
Talking - must be able to express ideas and speak clearly and orally in person or over the phone to parents, students and/or other employees.
Hearing - ability to perceive sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction and to receive detailed information through oral communication.
Close visual acuity required for viewing a computer monitor, preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing and reading.
Standing, walking and sitting for extended periods of time, moving about on foot throughout the building.
Regularly sitting at the computer requiring dexterity of hands and fingers.
Occasional lifting of at least 25 pounds.
Environment is primarily indoors in an office environment.
