Duties

Prepare individual, business, and corporate tax returns accurately and efficiently using various accounting software tools such as QuickBooks, Sage, and other financial software platforms. Review financial documents, including income statements, balance sheets, and expense reports to ensure completeness and accuracy. Assist clients in understanding their tax obligations by explaining complex financial concepts in clear terms. Conduct analysis of financial data to identify deductions, credits, and potential savings opportunities for clients. Maintain detailed records of all tax filings, correspondence, and client interactions for compliance purposes. Support marketing efforts by engaging with clients to promote additional financial services or products that meet their needs. Stay updated on current tax laws, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and optimal client outcomes. Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries promptly and professionally during the tax preparation process. Collaborate with team members to manage workload peaks during the busy tax season while maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency. Perform basic bookkeeping tasks as needed to support ongoing client relationships and internal processes.

Qualifications

Proven experience in tax preparation or public accounting with a solid understanding of tax concepts and regulations. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis skills, and familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Excellent math skills with proficiency in 10-key typing for data entry accuracy. Experience with financial sales or marketing is a plus for promoting additional services to clients. Technical accounting skills including bookkeeping, corporate accounting, and familiarity with financial software platforms are highly desirable. Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and professionally. Ability to analyze financial data critically and identify opportunities for savings or improvements.
