Job Description

:

O.E. Meyer Co., a 100% Employee-Owned Company, is looking to immediately add a seasonal (January-April) Material Handler/Utility for our Avon, OH branch.

As a Material Handler/Utility, you will be responsible for processing gas and hardgoods orders in a safe and efficient manner for timely delivery to our customers. You must work effectively and efficiently with minimum supervision and maintain a positive working relationship with customers and employees. The Material Handler/Utility will also assist in the warehouse and with drivers to safely and efficiently deliver compressed gas cylinders to local and regional business customers.

Responsibilities:

Filling Propane cylinders and Liquid Cylinders Maintain stock levels for hard goods and cylinders Maintain and help with upkeep of company facilities Unload and reload transfer trucks Help route drivers with preparing and loading trucks Safely operate a forklift and hand trucks Understands hazards of various gases; size and contents of cylinders. Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.[NH1]

Qualifications:

HS Diploma or equivalent. Prior experience in the gas, welding and safety supply industry preferred. Ability to load and unload cylinders (experience preferred, but not required) Ability to safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment. Positive attitude and strong work ethic Capable of lifting weights of up to 50 lbs, and maneuvering weights of up to 100 lbs.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week
