Simplot Grower Solutions is looking to fill a seasonal Truck Driver/Warehouse position. Full-time, temporary, position with full benefits and the opportunity for substantial over-time hours. The primary responsibility is to operate trucks, deliver fertilizer and chemicals and assist with plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

------------------------


Performs varied responsibilities such as:

Driving tender truck, ensuring timely deliveries to customers and applicators Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations (pre-trip, load securement, etc.) Maintain a clean vehicle Maintain safety policy and completing training Accurately complete daily pre-trip inspections and notify supervisors of any needed repairs May assist with recordkeeping related to warehouse/inventory responsibilities Performs varied responsibilities such as: equipment and plant maintenance including welding, pump and engine overhauls, painting, and general housekeeping responsibilities Loading and delivering fertilizer and chemicals to customers Miscellaneous duties such as assisting with special projects, attending training sessions, etc.

Typical Education

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Skills & Relevant Experience

1+ years related experience and/or training Truck driving experience preferred Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing Knowledge of local rural geography a plus Knowledge of farm operations a plus Experience operating a manual transmission a plus Ag background preferred Ability to perform a variety of tasks in succession, ie: blending products together, loading a truck, driving truck to farm

Must hold and maintain a Class A or B CDL, or have the ability to obtain a Seasonal CDL Must hold and maintain a DOT Medical Certificate card Must pass a DOT/Pre-employment drug screen Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements preferred Must be able to lift 50lbs Must be able to perform all essential functions of the job Must be willing and able to work Ag Industry hours, which may include: early morning, late evenings, weekends, and holidays as Seasonal needs demand
