In business for over 25 years, a well established DC based fast-paced wholesale seafood company is currently seeking an experienced sales representative in Philadelphia/ Delaware. The primary role of the Seafood Sales Representative is to work with our customers to serve as a trusted partner for the seafood and gourmet provisions. Through an engaged and collaborative style, the sales representative will build meaningful relationships, facilitate the order process and grow their sales portfolio year over year. As a seafood sales representative is it imperative to demonstrate excellent communications skills, the ability to work collaboratively and respectfully with other departments. The ideal candidate is organized, professionals, effective in a fast paced environment, able to manage a large number of accounts, and passionate about customer service.
Additional requirements:
Consults with account base, obtains orders and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call/meet with existing and/or potential sales accounts.
Submits orders by referring to price lists and inventory information
Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, weekly work plans and monthly annual sales analysis
Review weekly sales figures and goals.
Review and address weekly collection report.
Manage communication between shipping, operations, accounting, and quality assurance departments.
Conduct all dealing on behalf of the company with the highest ethical standards and moral integrity.
Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing products, new products and delivery schedules
Recommends changes in products, services and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments
Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, making recommendations to management
Core activities include: accurate order entry, handling customer inquires, reporting of price changes, and various production and information updates.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing industry publications and establishing personal networks
Position reports directly to the Sales Manager.
Qualifications:
All applicants must have a clean MVR (Motor vehicle record)
Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite
Minimum of
5 years
sales experience,
