Palace Entertainment is a subsidiary of Parques Reunidos, one of the leading global operators, with more than 60 different assets (theme parks, zoos and marine parks, water parks and other attractions), spread out over various countries across Europe, North America, the Middle East and Australia. To provide support services to experienced animal trainers and gain the knowledge and proficiency necessary to become an active team member in animal training and care. This is an apprenticeship period where on-the-job training is essential. The apprentice will observe, assist, and acquire second-hand experience. New apprentices will not interact with any animal unless directed to do so by management.

Roles & Responsibilities:


\xef\x82\xa7 Responsible for proper food preparation, sanitation and distribution.
\xef\x82\xa7 Administers safe and appropriate feeding.
\xef\x82\xa7 Acquire knowledge of basic training and vocabulary.
\xef\x82\xa7 Effectively use Approximations.
\xef\x82\xa7 Acquire knowledge of proper animal husbandry.
\xef\x82\xa7 Be able to identify each animal by name.
\xef\x82\xa7 Acquire a firm knowledge of each animal\'s history.
\xef\x82\xa7 Acquire experience in safe and proper handling, restraint, and transportation of animals.
\xef\x82\xa7 Acquire experience with public contact by performing in shows /presentations and speaking in front of an audience.
\xef\x82\xa7 Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent. College degree in a related field preferred but not required.
• Some experience is preferred ( Example: former Animal care and training internship(s), animal care volunteering in zoo\xe2\x80\x99s or aquariums, seasonal or past full time work within the animal care or training field)
