Overview

We are seeking an experienced Scraper Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience operating heavy equipment on construction sites. This role involves operating large machinery such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and water trucks to facilitate earthmoving and site preparation activities. The Scraper Operator plays a vital part in ensuring efficient project progress while maintaining safety and precision throughout operations.

Duties

Operate scraper equipment and other heavy machinery to move earth and materials efficiently across construction sites. Skillfully handle excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and water trucks to perform various earthmoving tasks. Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance. Collaborate with team members to execute construction plans accurately while adhering to safety regulations. Maintain detailed records of equipment usage and operational logs for project documentation. Perform minor maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery as needed to minimize downtime.

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and maintenance. Proven experience operating excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, tankers, and paving machinery. Construction site experience with a focus on earthmoving and site development projects. Commercial driving skills with a valid license preferred for operating or transporting heavy equipment. Ability to work safely in a dynamic construction environment while following all safety protocols. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with crew members. Physical ability to operate heavy machinery for extended periods and perform manual tasks as required. Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 80 per week
