Our client, a global leader in diagnostics and life sciences, is seeking a Scientist II to join their team in Pleasanton, CA. This is an exciting opportunity to support critical product launches in the Molecular and Near Patient Care areas.
You will be responsible for managing biological materials and performing microbiological and cell culture techniques to support clinical research and development.
Duration: Long Term Contract (Possibility Of Further Extension & Conversion)
Rate: $50-$55/hr on W2
Key Responsibilities:
Execute lab projects involving human cell lines, microorganisms, and biological material with minimal supervision.
Perform microbiological techniques, including culturing diverse bacteria under aerobic/anaerobic conditions.
Manage electronic records and follow safety protocols in BSL-2 lab conditions.
Collaborate cross-functionally to support critical product development.
Requirements:
Bachelor's in Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, Microbiology, or related field (4+ years) or Master's (2+ years).
Experience with aseptic techniques, bacterial/cell culture, and anaerobic chambers.
Proficiency in bacterial enumeration, MALDI-TOF, and microbial identification.
Must be comfortable working with infectious human material under BSL-2 lab conditions.
Preferred:
Experience with ddPCR, LIMS, and eLN.
Client-facing experience is a plus.
