Job Summary


We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various scientific disciplines, including biology, chemistry, and mathematics, and will be responsible for fostering a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and academic success. This role requires effective communication skills, classroom management abilities, and a commitment to curriculum development that meets educational standards.

Duties



Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards in subjects such as biology, chemistry, and mathematics. Teach a range of science topics including organic chemistry, biochemistry, cell biology, microbiology, genetics, and molecular biology. Utilize learning technology to enhance the educational experience and facilitate student understanding of complex concepts. Conduct laboratory experiments and dissections while ensuring safety protocols are followed. Assess student performance through standardized testing and provide tutoring or additional support as needed. Manage classroom behavior effectively to create an inclusive and respectful learning environment. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and instructional design initiatives. Provide academic advising and mentoring to students to support their educational goals. Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents regarding academic performance.

Requirements



Bachelor's degree in Science Education or a related field; higher education teaching experience is preferred. Strong knowledge of various scientific disciplines including trigonometry, geometry, calculus, algebra, differential equations, discrete math, and their applications in science. Experience working with students in diverse educational settings including private schools or Montessori environments is a plus. Proven ability in classroom management and lesson planning; experience in special education is advantageous. Familiarity with research methodologies and scientific research practices; laboratory experience is essential. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and faculty members. Ability to proofread educational materials for clarity and accuracy; strong organizational skills are necessary. Commitment to continuous professional development through academic advising or participation in education administration activities. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $62,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
