Job Summary

The School Safety Agent plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of students, staff, and visitors within the school environment. This position involves monitoring school premises, enforcing safety regulations, and responding to incidents as they arise. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to maintaining a safe educational atmosphere while effectively managing conflicts and emergencies.

Duties

Monitor school grounds and facilities to ensure a safe environment for all students and staff. Conduct regular surveillance of the premises using security systems. Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, applying conflict management techniques as necessary. Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services when required. Provide first aid and CPR as needed during emergencies or medical incidents. Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying potential security risks and implementing preventive measures. Maintain accurate records of incidents, observations, and safety inspections. Educate students and staff on safety protocols and emergency procedures.

Experience

Previous experience in law enforcement, security, or a related field is preferred. Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable. Familiarity with surveillance systems. Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. A background in militarized training or loss prevention can enhance candidate suitability for this role.
