Qualifications




Valid Pupil Personnel Services Certificate with School Psychologist Endorsement (K-12) Strong knowledge of federal and state special education laws, administrative rules, and district policy Experience in classroom settings (teaching, student teaching, or special education practicum) Deep understanding of guidance techniques and school-based counseling program design Proficient with educational and assessment technologies Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills Proven ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, staff, and community organizations Committed to confidentiality, professionalism, and student well-being

Job Summary





As a

School Psychologist

, you'll help students achieve their full potential by supporting their mental health and emotional well-being. You'll identify barriers to learning and collaborate with educators and families to create effective interventions and individualized education plans (IEPs). You'll also play a vital role in special education services, psychological evaluations, and district-wide support initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Direct & Indirect Counseling




Provide individual and group counseling for students facing school-related difficulties Offer consultation and psychological support to parents and staff Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations

Special Education Support




Assist in referral, evaluation, classification, and placement processes Develop and interpret psychological reports for IEPs and Child Study Team decisions Support teachers with strategies for both general and special education students Stay current with laws, policies, and best practices in special education
####

District & Community Collaboration




Serve as a case manager and maintain detailed case records Collaborate with external health and social agencies Deliver in-service trainings and parent workshops Advocate for student wellness and developmental needs across the school community
