Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive psychological services to students, supporting their academic, social, and emotional development. This role involves conducting assessments, developing intervention strategies, and collaborating with educators, families, and healthcare professionals to promote student well-being and success. The School Psychologist will play a vital role in fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment while ensuring compliance with educational and health regulations.

Responsibilities



Conduct psychological assessments, including diagnostic evaluations and psychological testing, to identify students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs. Develop and implement individualized intervention plans tailored to students with disabilities, autism, or developmental delays. Provide individual and group counseling sessions focusing on child & family counseling, behavior management, social skills development, and crisis intervention. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and healthcare providers to create effective IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) and support students' educational goals. Manage crisis situations by developing safety plans and providing crisis management support for students experiencing behavioral health challenges. Offer early intervention services for at-risk children and participate in case management activities to coordinate care across multiple agencies. Maintain accurate medical documentation, medical records, and reports in compliance with legal standards and confidentiality requirements. Assist in conflict management within the school community by applying conflict resolution techniques and behavioral health strategies. Support staff training on behavioral health topics such as applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management techniques, and social work principles.

Skills



Extensive experience with child & family counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral health strategies. Proficiency in patient assessment, psychological testing, diagnostic evaluation, and working with individuals with disabilities or autism. Strong knowledge of special education laws, IEP development, early intervention practices, and medical terminology related to mental health. Ability to perform psychotherapy, social work functions, case management, and develop safety plans for students in crisis. Excellent conflict management skills along with experience working with children in educational settings. Skilled in medical documentation, managing medical records accurately while maintaining confidentiality. Effective communication skills for working with students, families, educators, and healthcare providers; experience in school psychology is highly preferred. Capable of managing multiple cases simultaneously while providing compassionate patient care within a school environment.
