Job Description


Zen Educate is looking for educators who are passionate about teaching and positively contributing to the lives of children in special education. Special Education Paraprofessionals will support licensed teachers with academic adaptations, self-care, and social/behavioral needs. Key Duties:

  • Assisting licensed staff in the classroom
  • Aid students in meeting their individualized education plan (IEP)
  • Maintain a classroom environment that is conducive to learning
  • Work with individuals and/or small groups when activities and assignments are presented
  • Provides support for students in crisis
  • Utilize a variety of learning methods to enhance the student\'s learning experiences and support them as needed
Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience working with children
Preferred Requirements:
  • 60 credits, Associates Degree, or passing score on ParaPro Assessment
  • Crisis prevention training
  • Behavioral Technician or PCA experience
  • Past work experience in a school with children with special needs
Additional Requirements: Additional requirements include US Work Authorization. Zen Educate is unable to sponsor any employment visa or relocation assistance at this time. Pay:
  • $18 - $23 per hour
Schedule:
  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends
