We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Kitchen Supervisor to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food service management, with expertise in kitchen operations, and team leadership. This role requires a hands-on approach to ensure high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation while fostering a positive work environment.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and service.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to enhance team performance.
Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness.
Train new staff on food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen protocols.
Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation to maintain fine dining standards.
Performs day to day assignments with the team in food prep in addition to lead duties
Foster a culture of teamwork and hospitality within the kitchen environment.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a supervisory role within the culinary field.
Strong background in food production, kitchen management, time management.
Ability to operate a cash register (or equivalent) and handle cash transactions
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team.
Experience in inventory management and control processes and First In First Out
Ability to complete required daily paperwork including production sheets
Ability to work in Word, Excel and Gmail in a courteous and professional manner
Strong understanding of food safety standards and best practices in the food industry.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Education or Equivalent Experience:
High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience
Supervisor/Managerial Experience:
None
Function Specific Experience:
1 or more years of related work experience
Certification Requirements:
Food Service Manager Sanitation License & Food Allergen Certificate
Supervision Received:
Works under minimal supervision. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in an area that is adequately lighted and ventilated
Physical Demands:
Specific physical characteristics and abilities are required to perform the work, such as agility, dexterity and long periods of walking, standing, bending, carrying or lifting supplies and equipment weighing 50 pounds or more. This profile is subject to change.
Hours:
6:15am-2pm (full time) Monday -Friday or when students are in school
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.50 - $19.50 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
