Sodexo has an exciting new opportunity for a Full-time School District Dietitian for Providence Independent School District located in Providence, Rhode Island! This is a year-round position. This Registered Dietitian will provide nutritional guidance and menu support to our operations team and frontline managers as the nutrition expert for the district. This position is 35% operations and 65% clinical. This is a great opportunity for a new or experienced Dietitian!

What You'll Do

• responsible for menu planning and nutritional analysis, including system-wide staff training on computerized nutrition-analysis system;
• be responsible for special diets required by the district and work closely with school nurses, students and families;
• work with nutrition issues related to food allergies, weight management and disordered eating patterns and other medical issues requiring meal selection assistance;
• assist with placing food orders as needed and provide vacation coverage to operation managers as needed;
• participate in Health Fairs, community events and develop and deliver presentations as needed to support client goals;
• manage nutrition databases including Mosaic;

What You Bring

• Registered Dietitian credentials and licensure (LDN) in state of RI;
• excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels;
• proven ability to effectively engage, motivate and influence others regarding their nutrition;
• strong presentation skills;
• demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities with the ability to adapt the changing needs of the role;
• history of working independently with little direction;
• commitment to continued education in the nutrition field and implementation of new and innovative ideas to implement

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Education Requirement:
Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:
Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
Credentials Requirement:
Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
