Job Summary:

The K-8 School Counselor will provide support to students and families for social, emotional, and academic learning needs.

A Day in the Life of the High School School Counselor:

Create and co-lead the student support team/MTSS. Meet with administration team to review referrals and interventions. Drive, co-lead and support implementation of tier 1 program; support teachers and offer PD and training when needed. Ensure connection with tier 2/3 interventions. Create singular or multiple cross-grade tier 2 groups. Maintain awareness of student diagnoses, develop and update plans for tier 3 students, and share with staff as needed. Connect with and support parents as needed, providing referrals to PSC team. Provide and encourage outside referrals for students as needed. Career and College guidance

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities):

Master's degree from four-year college or university or in school counseling program

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

MN School Counselor License required or pre-license candidates in counseling program

Salary Range:

$35-$48 per hour based on experiencequalifications.
