We are seeking a dynamic and responsible Bus Driver to join our transportation team. Duties

Safely operate buses and other commercial vehicles according to traffic laws, company policies, and safety standards. Transport passengers such as students, seniors, or community members along designated routes or on special trips. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle's mechanical systems, including brakes, lights, tires, and fluid levels, ensuring optimal safety and performance. Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, especially children or individuals with mobility challenges, demonstrating patience and care. Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and passenger counts for reporting purposes. Communicate clearly with dispatchers, passengers, and team members using effective English or bilingual communication skills to ensure smooth operations. Enforce safety rules and behavior management strategies to promote respectful conduct among passengers. Respond promptly to emergencies or incidents on the road by following established protocols and coordinating with emergency services if needed. Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained; report any mechanical issues immediately for prompt resolution. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing passenger questions or concerns professionally and courteously. Adhere to all transportation regulations related to child safety (such as child restraint laws) and senior care standards when applicable.

Skills

Proven experience in bus driving or commercial driving with a valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type. Strong knowledge of driving safety procedures, traffic laws, and vehicle maintenance basics. Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse communities effectively. Experience working with children or seniors is highly desirable; ability to manage behavior positively is essential. Mechanical knowledge to perform routine vehicle inspections and minor repairs confidently. Demonstrated customer service skills that foster trust and comfort among passengers of all ages. Ability to handle stressful situations calmly while maintaining focus on safety and efficiency. Experience with paratransit services or school bus driving is advantageous but not required; training can be provided for specific roles. Writing skills for completing reports accurately and maintaining detailed logs of daily activities.
