Job Summary


We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Scheduler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating production schedules, and ensuring efficient operations throughout the various departments. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency in various software applications, and a strong commitment to customer service.

I. JOB TITLE: Scheduling & Efficiency Team Member

Reports to: Scheduling Supervisor

II. JOB PURPOSE AND SUMMARY:

Responsibilities include analyzing plant efficiencies, and providing daily support to supervisors to make sure data is correct on Edata.

III. SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

Daily review of production releases and set up kick off meetings for production runs (also attend every kickoff meeting and take minutes of said meetings 4 out of 5days, for certain shops

Update cover sheets in Edata during production meetings for status of WO's (stage of job, any issues that may delay timing)

Provide plant efficiency reports for Leamington (providing daily, weekly and monthly reports, as well as making notes of trends in efficiency of departments

Conduct time studies alongside supervisors, to make sure time given to workers is accurate per sub assembly setup screen

Calculate the weld inches per min for each weld sub assembly, and see if it complies with company standards, and report on differences

Provide training to new supervisors on the overall line setup process, in relation to Edata, and how it affects efficiencies.

Monitor production staff in terms of which job they are currently running and how they are trending based off of targets set

Provide in process reports on WO's currently running in Leamington to management team

Maintaining realistic forecasts of production

Maintain a clean and safe work environment i.e., work station, lunchroom etc.

Present a professional image of Motor City Racks, and a personal commitment to the safety and well-being of all employees.

Report any hazards to the Plant Manager or Supervisor immediately so corrective action can be taken.

Experience



Proven experience in a production environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Excellent typing skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry. Administrative experience that includes document management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Work Location: In person
