to join our friendly dental office on a part-time basis. This team member will play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations by managing the appointment schedule, communicating with patients, and supporting the front office.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and check in patients with a warm, professional demeanor
Answer incoming calls and respond to inquiries about appointments, procedures, and general information
Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments using dental scheduling software
Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments
Collect and process co-pays and account balances
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Coordinate with clinical staff to optimize the appointment schedule and minimize downtime
Handle cancellations and no-shows in accordance with office policy
Ensure the waiting area and front desk are clean, organized, and welcoming
Assist with billing and claims submission if needed
Uphold patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (some college or dental office training preferred)
1+ year of experience in a dental or medical office front desk role preferred
Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance plans is a plus
Proficiency with dental practice management software
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail and time management skills
Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
Professional, friendly, and customer-focused demeanor
