We are seeking an energetic, detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a cross trained schedule coordinator/dental assistant . As a Scheduling Coordinator/DA, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating appointments and schedules for our dental office. This is a vital role in ensuring smooth operations and providing excellent care to our patients. As a cross trained dental assistant you will assist on new patient visits, including tours of the office, medical and dental history review, taking X-rays , intraoral scanning, charting, and treatment planning If you are not a trained dental assistant, we will train you and certify you to take X-rays including paying for your X-ray certification course.
Duties:
- Coordinate and schedule appointments for patients using scheduling software (Eaglesoft and Dental Intel)
- Manage and maintain the office schedule, ensuring optimal efficiency
- Communicate with patients to confirm appointments and provide necessary information
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes at the front desk
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding appointments
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure proper scheduling of procedures
- Maintain accurate records of patient appointments and follow-up actions
- Provide administrative support to the dental office as needed
-Act as a new patient concierge to ensure a smooth transition of new patients into the practice
-Assist on new patient appointments including office tour, medical and dental history, charting, xrays, intraoral scanning, photos, and treatment planning (will train!)
Experience:
- 4 years experience as a scheduling coordinator, dental receptionist, dental assistant, or in a dental administrative role
- Familiarity with dental office operations is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
