Scheduling Coordinator

role is a key position on our team -- often the first point of contact for patients and essential to keeping our office running smoothly.

Primary Responsibilities



Answer phones confidently, professionally, and warmly -- creating a positive first impression for every patient Schedule appointments efficiently while balancing provider availability/priority and patient needs Take ownership of the schedule, including reminder calls, confirmations, managing a cancellation/wait list, and optimizing appointment flow Greet patients with welcoming energy and assist with check-in and check-out as needed Verify vision and medical insurance as well as demographic information for each patient Prepare daily schedules and paperwork for upcoming appointments Support patient communications and assist with office projects as needed

Secondary & Administrative Duties



Contact referring and previous providers to request patient records Complete administrative tasks as assigned Assist other team members and help with light cleaning as needed Pitch in wherever support is needed -- we are a small, collaborative, team-oriented practice

What We're Looking For



Required:



High school diploma or equivalent Strong phone etiquette and time management skills Confidence speaking with patients throughout the day Comfort with computers and learning new systems

Preferred (but not required):



Experience in customer service, hospitality, sales, or healthcare Optometry or medical office experience Spanish-speaking skills

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
